I watched Inception for the first time yesterday and loved it!! here's my thoughts
I loved Dom and Mal so much. A great choice to vehicle the concept and story. I mean the whole concept and is fucking cool as hell- my goodness. It tickled my brain because it reminded me of lucid dreaming but scarier and more intresting. I didn't mind that they didn't really explain the worldbuilding as much because I think they used their time much more productivly explaining the concept and expanding the characters. Did I mention I loved Dom and Mal? The ending with them was so carthatic.. Saito and Dom at the end/begining was a very satisfying full circle moment. Speaking of satisfying.. that, to me, is what makes a story good. Everything feels thoughout and you can get satisfaction from how everything fits neatly together even if you don't know it from the begining or even your first watch! That's why I liked mtmte so much, everything just clicked. And reading it more than once makes more things click it's so oughhhh. I liked Aridane a lot- I mean all the characters were likable in their own way which made their chemistry as a team just lovely. Her curiosity didn't annoy me as much as I thought it would because of A.) the stakes and B.) I would be the same girl I aint gonna hold you I enjoyed Eame's and Aurther's banter. The visuals were so exciting without being overwhelming and the enddd... oh baby love it. open ending(I went for the positive interpretation) Perfect sci-fi for good ol me
