mgmt is a band with two white guys who make rock music. It's kind of trippy rock though.
So the band orginally started as a joke by these two guys named Andrew VanWyngarden and Benjamin Goldwasser. The whole thing was supposed to mock the music industry and I think it did a good job doing that. Now they're old but they started around college age in 2002 and people really liked what they released in 2005(their first album). I was first exposed to it through the Kids Music Video at elemntary age whenever my dad put it on the tv. I started listening to it myself around 14 because Kids was sucha good song, MGMT had to have made more songs like that.

4.5/5 great first album. Has some of their most popular songs on it like Kids and Electric Feel. My favorite song on here is Kids(I know basic, but it is good)

5/5 I love this EP!! Super funky and a bit more experimental than their first album. Favorite song is either Indie Rokkers or Love Always Remains

5/5 This is my favorite album and I actually have it on CD. such a good ride all the way through and acts in my opinion as a union of their first album and their EP. My favorite song is Song For Dan Tracey

4/5 Another banger.. It leans into a kind of 80s thing I like. Favorite song is When You Die for sure; MV for it freaks me out tho(its good- watch it)

2.5/5 Their self titled album; I don't like it that much. Granted I haven't listened to it multiple times over and thus didn't get a good chance to assess it but yeah it's okay. My opinion may change if I decide to give it another try. Favorite song on here is Alien Days

3.5/5 Their latest album. well there was one before this but I didn't listen to it at all. Anyways this one was good, very peacable and melencholic. Favorite song is People In The Streets but Nothing To Declare is a close second.
